I'm Shelby

I am local to the great cities of Atlanta, Georgia & Mobile, Alabama I have grown up around horses, animals, art, deaf culture and community in my whole life. Horses have always been a big part of my life, so when I was coming into photography it was an easy choice to start working with the people who love horses and little animals.
After saving up for my first camera, I started taking photographs of horses, deaf community, and things that happen that you will never see again in daily life. That pointed me in the direction of photography. It has been nonstop ever since.
In 2010, I graduated from Gwinnett Technical College with the Commercial Photography Degree in Lawrenceville, Georgia.

In 2010, I won 3rd placed out 3,000 in Photo Asia International in Jinan, China. This was a student competition with approximately 55,000 images from one hundred schools and universities in 30 countries around the world. The prize I won was the Silver Pinhole Award. I also received an honorable mention for another of my photographs. I went to China to receive my award in November. It was an amazing opportunity.

I am young, only 30, and have so much to learn, about both life and photography, but I have been blessed with an amazing and supportive husband, beautiful two daughters, two families, friends, mentors, and teachers to see me through it all.
